The total export cargo of 18,814 tonnes comprised of 14,864 tonnes of containerised cargo and 3,950 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 3,125 containers comprising of 2,186 containers import and 939 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 890 of 20's and 587 of 40's loaded while nil of 20's and 61 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 546 of 20's and 07 of 40's loaded containers while 53 of 20's and 163 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours. There were two ships namely KY Venus and Da Yu Xia carrying meal and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were nine vessels viz. Express Blacksea, MSC Nicole, Taroko, MT Shalamar, Athina, Ocenus, Sea India Amoy Action and Krania carrying containers, oil tankers, dredger, Tug, coal and rock phosphate respectively currently at the berths. There were three ships namely Hyundai Vancouver, MSC Nicole and KY Venus carrying containers and chemical sailed out to sea on Tuesday, while another ship namely MOL Explorer carrying containers is expected to sail on Wednesday.
There were two vessels viz. Cosco Haifa and Nasco Jade carrying containers and general cargo respectively due to arrive on Tuesday, while ten vessels viz. Kota Karim, OOCL Italy, Sima Giselle, Hammunia Virginia, Everrich-7, Oriental Lotus, Hong Master, Zealand Almera, Han Li and Chipolbrok Star carryingcontainers, oil tanker, chemical, general cargo and project cargo respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.
